Mt Tom from Owens Valley

Owens Valley and 13,652 foot Mt. Tom north of Bishop. The first white man in Owens Valley was Joseph Walker in 1833. John C. Fremont named the valley, as well as the river and a lake, in 1845 after Richard Owens, an army captain on his expedition.
