Nyatapola Temple Statue

The statue of the wrestler Patha Malla on the steps of the Nyatapola Temple, the tallest building in the Bhaktapur with its unique five roofs, was founded in 1702 A.D by King Bhupatindra Malla, with construction so well done that even the earthquake of 1934 A.D caused only upper level damage. It also has statues of the other wrestler Jaya Malla, elephants, lions,griffins, and the godesses Baghini as a tiger and Singhini as a lion.
